Emotional and psychological wellness are integral parts of overall wellbeing, allowing people to better identify and understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
When understood from a realistic perspective, a person can withstand setbacks and challenges, grow their self-compassion, and develop healthy relationships with boundaries.
While a person will still experience feelings such as stress, anxiety and sadness, they are better able to navigate those difficulties.
Goals include the life dimensions of self-direction/independence, personal growth, coping well with the outside world, having a purposeful life and positive relationships, with the understanding and acceptance of oneself.
